Alejandro Ugarte is Senior Director of Corporate Compliance and EEOC Coordinator at Goodwill of North Georgia. He also leads the Diversity and Inclusion program and Initiatives at Goodwill in collaboration and support of the staff.
He has held a variety of roles within Human Resources, Compliance, Language Education and Diversity throughout his career. Many times carrying out several of these at the same time. He started with Goodwill in 2011 as a recruiter, then progressed into management. In his current role as a Director he enjoys leading a team that supports the entire Goodwill of North Georgia agency in regulatory matters, ethics, auditing, policies and procedures, safety, Records and Information Access, and more.
He has also volunteered with LGBTQI organizations such as TRP (The Reformation Project), QCF (Q Christian Fellowship) and Affinity Atlanta. These organizations seek to help LGBTQI individuals navigate the reconciliation and intersectionality of LGBTQI identity and faith values individuals wrestle with from their upbringing. These organizations also address racial issues topics, as well as issues related to women and any other oppressed populations.
Alejandro is a Certified Compliance and Ethics Professional, has a Masters Degree in Higher Education from Ashford University, a Master’s Degree in Spanish from Georgia State University, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Education with a minor in English from the University of Carabobo in Venezuela where he was born and raised.
